The Wild Rose Draft Horse Association has started an annual award starting in the 2026 show season. The Aggregate Cart Series was initiated to encourage member entries in cart classes and to promote the Alberta draft horse show circuit in its entirety.
AGGREGATE SERIES RULES
- Points will be awarded at qualifying shows. Points will be awarded based on respective judge’s score cards.
- Qualifying shows for 2026 include Lloyd Ex and the Vermilion Fair.
- Classes must be open to men and women to be considered for points. All eligible breeds of horses can participate. Eligibility based on the individual show’s rules.
- Awards will be given at the end of the final show.
- Every entry in the class will be awarded points.
- First place in the class will receive points based on the number of entries. For example, if 14 are entered in the class first place will be awarded 14 points, second will receive 13 points, and so on.
- Each participant will receive 3 points for each show attended.
- Entries will be by the driver, not the farm. Multiple entries per farm is encouraged.
- The WRDHA sub-committee will determine a “hammer” show prior to the season to break any ties.
